What is North Somerset Nature Net (NSNN) ?

  • NSNN is a network dedicated to the support of all small local conservation groups and charities within the county of North Somerset.
  • NSNN aims to support and encourage partnership working within the local area. It brings local conservation groups together,  providing a platform to help share ideas, training and expertise in a central place and at events.
  • Putting local wildlife and habitat management at the forefront, NSNN will work across parish boundaries to provide more joined up thinking and cohesion between neighbouring areas.
  • NSNN ensures that all member groups retain their own identity and history that each group is rightly very proud of.
  • Working together we aim to promote wildlife and conservation to a wider local audience and encourage the next generation of local members and conservationists by supporting nature education within our towns and villages and local schools.

Who can Join NSNN ?

  • Any small local conservation charity or group who manage land, or promote conservation and wildlife welfare can join the network
  •  And is prepared to engage and assist other member groups through sharing resources, training, or simply supporting other groups by sharing experience and expertise.

How much does it cost to join NSNN ?

  • The North Somerset Nature Net is completely free to join.
  • NSNN is not funded and relies on the generosity of local pubs and other venues to provide a room for it’s members to meet in about twice a year.
  • NSNN is run and set up by  volunteers who are passionate about nature and conservation in their local area.
